Nihar Patel brings over 14 years of hands-on experience in the hospitality industry to Reco Real Estate Advisors, LLC, having joined the firm in 2025. With a dual perspective as both a hotel broker and seasoned hotel owner-operator, he offers clients a unique and deeply informed
approach to hospitality real estate transactions.Mr. Patel has spent the past five years specializing in hotel brokerage, successfully guiding buyers and sellers through complex asset acquisitions, dispositions, and repositioning strategies across multiple markets. His sharp understanding of deal structuring, underwriting, and franchise
systems positions him as a trusted advisor in the hospitality investment space.Prior to his brokerage career, Nihar spent over 9 years owning and operating upper-midscale hotel franchises, including notable renovation projects with Choice products, Marriott International, and Holiday Inn Express by IHG. His operational background spans multi-unit management, capital improvements, and revenue optimization, and syndication—insights that directly inform his brokerage advisory work.
Nihar began his hospitality journey as an Assistant General Manager at a Marriott property in Topeka, Kansas, where he first cultivated his passion for hospitality leadership. He later earned his MBA in Business and Finance from Washburn University in 2016.
